Ronald Ray Sciple, Sr.

Ronald Sciple, 87, of Shuqualak, MS passed away Friday, July 8, 2022, at Rush Hospital in Meridian, MS.

A graveside service is planned for Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Chamberlain Cemetery on Kellis Store Rd, Lynville, MS. at 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be made to Chamberlain Cemetery Fund, c/o Linda Merle, 579 Weaver Sciple Mill Rd, DeKalb, MS  39328. Cockrell Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Ronald Ray Sciple, Sr was born on June 15, 1935, in Kemper County, MS to the late John Chester and Lora Robinson Sciple. He was a graduate of Shuqualak High School. Ronald married Shirley Butler on January 9, 1965. He spent his working career as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, searching for Indian artifacts, hunting, and fishing. Ronald is preceded by his parents, a son, Joey Cooper, and a grandson Lee Sciple.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Shirley Sciple of Shuqualak, MS; daughter, Christy (Buddy) Burks of Columbus, MS; a son Ronnie (Carol) Sciple of Shuqualak, MS; a daughter-in-law, Rhonda Cooper of Macon, MS; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
