Robert Collins Hall, affectionately known as “Robbie” to many and “Rob” to his beloved Denise’s family and friends, passed away after a life defined by love, hard work, and selfless devotion to others. Born on August 23, 1970, in Noxubee County, Mississippi, Robbie was the cherished son of the late Willie Roy Hall and Carolyn Coker Higginbotham.

A proud native of Noxubee County, Robbie attended Central Academy and began his career at Shuqualak Lumber Company. He spent his life working as an electrician and crane rigger in the construction industry until health challenges eventually led him to retire. His work ethic and dedication were unmatched, always doing whatever it took to support those around him.

Over five years ago, Robbie met the love of his life, Denise Thornton. Their bond brought joy and strength to both of their lives. Together, they shared countless happy moments with Denise’s children and their families, who came to love him deeply as a devoted “bonus” father and family member.

Robbie had a deep love for the outdoors. He especially enjoyed deer hunting with his dogs, fishing, and any opportunity to be in nature. A lifelong supporter of Ole Miss football and baseball, he never missed a chance to cheer on his favorite teams.

Known for his generous heart, Robbie was the kind of person who always put others first. His kindness, warmth, and selflessness left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. His family often said he had a “heart of gold.”

Most recently, Robbie and Denise opened their home to care for his ailing mother and stepfather, devoting the past year to their comfort and well-being until their passing just last month—a final act of love that, epitomized who Robbie was at his core. Robbie is preceded by his parents, a son, Hunter Hall, stepfather, Larry Higginbotham, uncle, Larry Coker, two aunts, Brenda Jane Coker and Glenda Jane Coleman.

Robbie is survived by his fiancé, Denise Thornton of Philadelphia, MS, bonus children, Austin and Eve Thornton and their children, Stewart Thornton and Easton Thornton and Reagan and Tyler Anderson, daughter, Paige Hall, her children, Zyair and Kylan, brother, Roy(Blanca) Hall, Aunt Shirley (Bob) Boykin, Uncle Neal (Donna) Coker, two nieces and many cousins.
