Randy Ewing, 67, of Macon, MS passed away Friday, October 4, 2024, at St. Dominic Hospital, Jackson, MS. A funeral service will be held at the Life Center, 144 Hale St., Macon, MS Thursday, October 10, 2024, at 3 p.m. Interment will follow in Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Life Center,Thursday from 1-3 p.m. Memorials may be made to Salem Memorial Church, 43566 MS Hwy 14 W, Macon, MS 39341. Cockrell Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements. 

Randolph Gray Ewing was born on October 24, 1956, to the late William Randolph and Blanche Gray Long Ewing. He grew up in Brooksville, MS and graduated from Central Academy, Class of 1974. Randy received his diesel mechanic degree from East Mississippi Vocational College. On December 27, 1987, Randy married Judith Outz. They lived in Columbus for a short time and later made their home in Macon, MS. He was self employed as a specialist in tractor repair and his business was known as Earth Work. Randy served Central Mississippi and West Alabama, servicing International, John Deere and Ford tractors. Randy enjoyed hunting and shooting sporting clays. He shot at Westervelt yearly at their Log a Load for kids for the past fifteen years. Randy attended Salem Memorial Church. He loved his family dearly, having supported them in every endeavor. Randy helped his wife each year with the Wreaths Across American project. He was known for his honesty and loyalty. You could not find a better friend in Randy. His prayer was to “lead, guide and direct me today”, each day. Randy is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ronald Ewing. 

Randy is survived by his wife, Judith Outz Ewing, Macon, MS; a son, Ethan Gray Ewing (Charlotte), Macon, MS; and two sisters, Karen Boxx (Ray) of Water Valley, MS and Suzanne Langford (Mike) of Columbus, MS.
