Moses William Vernon Jr.

Mr. Moses William Vernon, Jr, 74, died at his home on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, following a courageous battle with cancer. His family invites close friends and family to attend a graveside service on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Macon, MS. Moses was born on March 7, 1951, in Louisville, MS to the late Moses William and Doris Higginbotham Vernon. He will be fondly remembered as a beloved husband, father and grandfather and as a longtime member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Vernon of Oxford, MS; two daughters, Kristina Dee Bussanmas and her husband, Scott of Des Moine, IA and Natalie Lee Dugan and her husband, James of Athens, TN; a son, William Dempsey Vernon of Oxford, MS; seven grandchildren: Taylor (Kaden) Murphree, Sarah Perkins, Marlee Perkins, Charlie Perkins, Maggie Dugan, Gracie Dugan, Jase Dugan, one great grandson, Kase Murphree,  and a sister,  Evelyn Smith of West Point, MS, and two nieces.
