Linda Carol Reed Robbins was born to the late Halbert F. and Mamie Sue Reed in Winston County, MS. She grew up in the Ellison Ridge Community where she graduated from Nanih Waiya School. Linda furthered her education at East Central Junior College. She married the love of her life, Tommie Robbins on November 10, 1967. They made their home in the Ellison Ridge Community until her children were middle school age. At that time, Linda and her family moved to Bakersfield, CA. where she worked as a bookkeeper for the family business. They moved back to the south and eventually settled in Noxubee County where they opened their own trucking company. Linda was a “jill-of-all trades,” being the office manager, bookkeeper and dispatcher for the company. Her hobbies included gardening, NASCAR and spending time with friends and family. One of Linda's favorite pastimes was being “Gunny” to her grandchildren and going to the different activities they were in. She always found a way to teach them about her Lord and Savior. Linda was a devoted Christian who taught children’s Sunday school, women’s groups, and was deeply involved in church activities when able. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church for twenty years where she served as secretary and Sunday school teacher. Later, she became a member of Cornerstone Community Church, Macon, MS. In 2016, Linda and Tommie retired and began traveling in their RV and enjoying their senior years. Linda was an amazing example of what a Christian wife, mother, and woman should be, and will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Linda is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Benny Alton Reed.

Linda survives by her husband, Tommie Robbins; daughter, Penny (Bob) Thompson, two sons, Mark (Stephanie) Robbins and Johnny (Emily) Robbins, five grandchildren, Skyland Thompson, CAT Thompson, Riley Robbins, Logan Robbins and Hal Robbins, and several nieces and nephews.
