Jerry Wayne Britt

Mr. Jerry Wayne Britt, 68, of Macon, MS passed away Monday, December 11, 2023, at Vineyard Court Nursing Home. A memorial service is planned for Monday, December 18, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. at Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.  Memorials may be given to your favorite charity. Cockrell Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Jerry was born on February 8, 1955, to the late James Dalton and Jean Elizabeth Holcombe Britt. He graduated from Central Academy, Macon, MS. After graduation, Jerry began his career working with his father as a heavy equipment operator. Jerry was a fire chief for Noxubee County District Three Volunteer Fire Department. When he was not working or taking care of the community’s needs at the fire station, he enjoyed playing the guitar.  In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Britt and Gayle Brown.

Jerry is survived by his son Chad (Ashley) Britt of Pensacola, FL and his sister, Karen Britt of Kilmichael, MS.
