Henry "Bubba" C Nelson

Henry C “Bubba” Nelson, 63, passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. A funeral service is planned for Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Mashulaville Cemetery near Macon, MS. Henry Clinton Nelson was born in Dekalb, MS on February 15, 1962, to the late Henry Curry and Sarah Ann Etheridge. He attended Central Academy in Macon and was a graduate of Magnolia Mennonite School. After graduating he worked as a farm hand for various farms in the area before beginning his career as a truck driver and working in this occupation for forty-five years. Bubba, as he was known by his family, friends and grandchildren worked up until two weeks before he passed away. Bubba married the love of his life, Carol Noland on December 28, 1981. In his past time, Bubba enjoyed hunting and crappie fishing. He was so loved by his family, and he will be sorely missed.

Those left to mourn Bubba’s passing are his wife, Carol Nelson of Macon, MS; three daughters, Nikki (Kellis) Higginbotham, their children, Camryn and Brooks, Lauren (Brad) Scott, and their child, Baylor, Kayla Nelson and fiancé Matt Greene; sister Diann Beard (Junior), two brothers, Tommy Nelson and Michael Nelson (Harley); and nieces and nephews.
