Gayle Wood Ford

Gayle Wood Ford, 65, of Macon, MS passed away on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Pickensville, AL, 176 Ferguson St., Pickensville, AL  35447.. Visitation will be thirty minutes before the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Golden Triangle Kennel Club, c/o Mary M. Morgan, 10357 Hwy 12 West, Starkville, MS 39759. Gayle Denise Wood Ford was born on September 7, 1960, in Baton Rouge, LA. to the late Gordon and Margie Redden Wood. Gayle graduated from Hardwicke MacMasters of Baton Rouge, LA. After graduating, Gayle worked for a medical laboratory and later as a receptionist for a law firm. In 1991, she married Dan Ford on Christmas Eve. Afterwards, they made their home in Macon, MS. Gayle was a homemaker and a farmer who started out raising chickens and went on to raising milk goats and sheep. Her farm was called the Woof and Wooley Farm. She also loved dogs. She enjoyed taking care of her animals and they loved her as well. Gayle was a member of First Baptist Church, Pickensville, Al where she taught Sunday school. Gayle was loved by everyone she knew. Gayle is preceded in death by her parents.

Gayle is survived by her husband, Dan Ford of Macon, MS and brother, Randy Wood of Ethel, LA.
