Bobo was born on July 27, 1951, in Macon Mississippi to the late Ruth Maxwell Minor and Ernest Noffsinger (Bo) Minor. He was reared and cherished by his parents and grandparents, Lute and Helen Minor, on the family’s Circle M Ranch on Paulette Road outside of Macon. Many local people worked on the large farm in the cotton and soybean fields, the mills, hunting ranges, and the timber operations. Bobo graduated from Noxubee County High School and attended East Mississippi Junior College in Scooba for a time. He lived his entire life within a mile of his childhood home, Circle M Ranch.
Bobo loved driving tractors, working on tractors, and collecting tractors. So where do you store 14 John Deere tractors? You build another barn to house them. Also, his Harley-Davidson motorcycle was another toy that he loved to take out and play with until his knees would not allow it any longer.
Bobo was a very generous neighbor and friend and was always helping his community and even strangers with their needs, whether it be a ditch cleaned out, moving a downed tree, a field plowed or planted, hay cut, or maybe just some much appreciated groceries or money. He was always up for cooking catfish at the Baker boys’ camp house, and he really took his “Head Cook” title very seriously. He also loved to add logs to the fire in the massive fire pit. Bobo was a supportive member of Cooksville Methodist Church and loved his church family dearly. He never had any children of his own, but he would have been a tolerant and even indulgent parent! Bobo met Beth Richards Ferraez Kendrick in March of 2016 and they married March 21, 2020.
Bobo is survived by his loving wife Beth and a half-sister, Madelyn Sadler of Jacksonville, Florida as well as his “other mother” Christine Smith, who was his life-long friend, confidant, and faithful housekeeper. He also leaves behind stepsons Jeremy and Chad Ferraez, six step-granddaughters; Bailey, Aviana, Gabriella, Taylor, Riley, and Emelia Ferraez, and brother-in-law, Hoyt Richards (Janice) and several nieces and nephews.
