Cecilia Bouchillon Floore

Cecilia Floore, 77, of Shuqualak, MS., passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Neshoba County Nursing Home, Philadelphia MS. A funeral service is planned for Wednesday, July 23, 2025, 12:00 p.m. at Shuqualak Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Shuqualak Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 11-12 p.m. Memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741. Cockrell Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.

Cecilia Bouchillon Floore was born on February 20, 1948, in Kemper County, MS to the late James Clifton and Nannie Agnes Thomas Bouchillon. Cecilia was a graduate of Noxubee High School. After graduation she began her career in manufacturing where she started at the glove factory and later worked at the pants factory. It became the jacket factory, and she worked there until it closed. After which she worked as a salesclerk in Shuqualak, MS. When the tornado came through Shuqualak and destroyed the business, Cecilia retired. During her retirement years she enjoyed word search puzzles and visiting her children and her family. Her favorite words to say where “Yeah buddy!” and “I heard that”. She will be deeply missed by her family, especially her grandson who was the apple of her eye. Cecilia is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, David Bouchillon, Roland Bouchillon, Betty Conner and Nan Neely.

Those surviving Cecilia are her daughter, LaDawn Wooley (Carl Veazy) of Columbus, MS, a son, Dwayne Fox of Little Rock, AR., a grandson, Chance Fox ( Maria) of Forest, MS, two grandchildren, Elena Fox and John Paul Fox, two sister, Mary Brown (James) of Bailey, MS and Joanne Sciple of Meridian, and one brother, James Bouchillon of Meridian, MS.
