Billy Ray Kemp

Billy Ray Kemp, 59, of Brooksville MS passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026, at Noxubee General Hospital in Macon, MS. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, April 12, 2026, at 2 p.m. at Brooksville Cemetery in Brooksville MS. Cockrell Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the arrangements.

Billy Ray Kemp was born in Meridian, MS. His mother passed away when he was nine years old. He and his family moved to Brooksville, MS where he lived until his passing. He was a graduate of Noxubee County High School. He and his classmates remained friends until he passed away, had reunions often since graduating. He worked for Waters Truck and Tractor for a short time in the maintenance department. Billy Ray was a devoted member of Harrison Grove M.B. Church in Brooksville, MS, for many years. He was very active in his church and would often speak at the services held there.

Those surviving him are a host of cousins and friends.
