Annie Lois Simmons Richardson

Mrs. Annie Lois Simmons Richardson, 97, passed away Monday, April 13, 2026, at Winston County Nursing Home, Louisville, MS. Funeral services are planned for Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Cockrell Funeral Home Chapel in Macon, MS, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from, 10-11 a.m. Wednesday. Interment will follow in Mashulaville Cemetery near Macon, MS. Memorials may be made to Mashulaville Cemetery Fund, c/o Eddie Gaylord, 38501 MS Hwy 14 W, Macon, MS 39341. Cockrell Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with arrangements. 

Mrs. Richardson was born on September 11, 1928, in Mashulaville, MS to the late Samuel Franklin and Franes Jones Simmons. Mrs. Lois was a graduate of Mashulaville Agricultural School. In 1949, Lois married Lawrence “Pat” Richardson, and they made their home in the Mashulaville Community. She was a member of the Mashulaville Methodist Church. Lois retired from Macon Garment Plant after forty-nine years of service. In her spare time, Lois enjoyed cutting her grass, reading and gardening.

Mrs. Richardson is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lawrence “Pat: Richardson, three sisters, Grace Carter, Cynthia Alford and Mildred Bouchillon, three brothers, Thomas J Simmons, Samuel Simmons, and Edward Simmons, daughter in law, Helen Richardson and granddaughter, Kelly Taylor.

Mrs. Lois is survived by her children, Larry (Judy) Richardson of Clinton, MS; Claude Richardson of Macon, and Cynthia (Walter) Taylor of Brooksville, MS; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and one great- great- grandchild.
