Ms. Daniel was born on December 8, 1951 to the late Howard and Mildred Battle Lindley. She was a graduate of Noxubee High School. She received her bachelor’s degree from Mississippi University for Woman and received her master’s degree in special education. She taught school for many years in the Meridian Public School system and other schools throughout the South.

She is survived by her daughter, Judith Veazey-Daniel and brother Howard “Sonny” Lindley, Jr.
