Miss Betty E. Clark, 65, of Macon, MS passed away Monday July 30, 2012 at Rush Specialty Hospital in Meridian, MS. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 1 at 11:00 A.M. from Salem Methodist Church near Macon. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 until 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at Cockrell Funeral Home in Macon. The family requests no flowers, please. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Cockrell Funeral Home of Macon is entrusted with the arrangements.
Miss Clark was a native of the Salem community in Noxubee County, MS, born on May 15, 1947 to the late Elisha N. and Lillian James Clark. She was a graduate of Noxubee County High School and East Mississippi Junior College. She received her operating room training at Baptist Hospital in Jackson and was an Operating Room Tech at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian for over 40 years. Miss Clark was well -liked at the hospital and while there she served on the benevolence committee. She was a very outgoing person who made friends quite easily. She enjoyed visiting with her family and also enjoyed needlework.
She was a lifelong member of Salem United Methodist Church, but had been attending First Baptist Church in Macon, MS.
Miss Clark is survived by one sister: Gary Lois Higginbotham (Travis) of Macon, MS as well one niece: Haley Montgomery (Mike) of Starkville. She is also survived by one great-niece: Maggie Montgomery and two great-nephews: Travis and Elisha Montgomery.
